Early Menopause Treatment in Dubai
Early menopause treatment is simple with Dr Felix's personal care. There is no being told you are too young for this, no going without the hormones your body still needs, and medication is prescribed by your doctor when there is a medical reason for it.
Your first visit includes a full medical check-up and blood work. Dr Felix explains what the results mean for your bones, heart and fertility, and builds your plan from there.

What does early menopause treatment include?
Early menopause treatment with Dr Felix covers your symptoms, your long-term health and your plans. Your plan is built on your blood results, your symptoms and whether you want children.
- Diagnosis: blood tests confirmed, repeated when needed.
- Hormone therapy: oestrogen at full replacement doses, plus progesterone to protect the womb.
- Bones: bone health, calcium, vitamin D and exercise are reviewed. For confirmed premature ovarian insufficiency before age 40, a baseline DXA bone-density scan is recommended at diagnosis where available.
- Heart: blood pressure and cholesterol checked.
- Emotional support: time to talk, and a referral when you want it.
- Fertility: an honest talk about your chances and your options.

Why is HRT important in early menopause?
In early menopause, hormone therapy replaces hormones your body would normally still make. Unless there is a strong reason against it, all women with menopause before 40 should take oestrogen to protect bones and heart (ESHRE guideline, 2016).
The risks found in older women in the Women’s Health Initiative study do not apply to young women with early menopause, who have a low risk of heart disease and breast cancer.
Can I still get pregnant?
Pregnancy is still possible for some women with early menopause. Half to three quarters of women with menopause before 40 still have some ovarian activity, and 5 to 10 percent conceive after the diagnosis.
If you want to keep that chance, the type of progesterone matters, and micronized progesterone is used. If you do not want to get pregnant, contraception is still needed. Fertility treatment is planned with a specialist.
How long should I take HRT?
Women with early menopause usually take hormone therapy until the average age of natural menopause. Guidelines recommend hormone therapy until about 50 or 51, and then the same review as for any woman at menopause. A family history of breast cancer calls for an individual risk assessment, not an automatic stop at age 45. Personal cancer history, inherited risk and treatment choice need separate consideration.

What else protects bones and heart?
Hormone therapy works best with a few daily habits. Women with early menopause need higher doses than women after natural menopause, because the doses replace what young ovaries would make.
- Exercise: weight-bearing and strength training for bones.
- Calcium and vitamin D: from food first, supplements when levels are low.
- No smoking: smoking speeds up bone loss.
- Patches or gel: oestrogen through the skin carries a lower clot risk than tablets.
- Vaginal oestrogen: a low dose helps with dryness, on top of hormone therapy.

Dr Felix Happich, MD decides with you whether hormone therapy fits and when. Nothing is prescribed on request alone.

More questions about early menopause
What does early menopause treatment cost?
The cost of early menopause treatment depends on the tests you need and which treatment becomes part of your plan. You get the full cost in the consultation before anything starts.
Is early menopause the same as premature ovarian insufficiency?
They are close. Menopause between 40 and 45 is called early menopause. Before 40 it is called premature ovarian insufficiency, because the ovaries can still work from time to time.
Can I take the pill instead of HRT?
Yes, some women prefer a combined contraceptive pill. It also prevents pregnancy, but it contains a different type of oestrogen.
Is HRT safe at my age?
For young women with early menopause, hormone therapy replaces hormones the body would normally make. The risks seen in older women do not apply in the same way.
